illy x Affordable Art Fair Sydney
The 2025 Affordable Art Fair Sydney at Carriageworks was an four-day celebration of contemporary art, creativity and culture. Welcoming more than 18,000 visitors and resulting in over 3,000 artworks sold, the fair delivered an energetic and engaging environment for artists, galleries and collectors alike.
illy was proud to be part of this event, bringing the distinctive illy coffee experience to the centre of the fair. Positioned among the galleries and installations, the illy café provided visitors with a refined espresso offering, serving both classic espresso, illy Cold Brea and illycrema throughout the event. The café became a natural point of connection, supporting moments of conversation, reflection and shared experience as visitors moved through the fair.
The relationship between art and coffee was evident throughout the experience. Both disciplines value creativity, craftsmanship and sensory engagement, making the partnership a natural fit within the fair’s dynamic setting. The Sol Calero illy Art Collection activation further elevated the experience, introducing a bold and vibrant visual presence inspired by Calero’s expressive aesthetic. The activation complemented the surrounding artworks while reinforcing illy’s long-standing commitment to art, design and cultural collaboration.
It was inspiring to see so many visitors engaging with illy between gallery visits, enjoying coffee as part of their broader fair experience and incorporating illy moments into a event defined by creativity and discovery.
